Job Full Description Checker Job Summary: A furniture manufacturing company is seeking a Checker to assist their team. This position requires a team member who will be responsible for parts warehouse organization and correct ERP inventory including incoming and work in process materials. The role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Checker Responsibilities: - Understands the upcoming production requirements and priorities.
- Prints the overall dispatch list and the individual order picks lists and highlights any obvious shortages.
- Communicates shortages to supervisors by providing documentation of open shop orders requiring completion or open POs to be supplied to planners.
- Verify and put away all incoming materials to the proper location in the Warehouse and complete location transfer in the ERP system.
- Physically picks all parts required for each job and transacts any material movement in the ERP system using scanners, computers, or other devices.
- Pull, kit and stage all parts to the specified production area.
- Performs any scrap transactions in ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Continued follow-up with supply departments regarding required shop orders and their completion.
- Coordinates with Production Planning on timing of PO receipts.
- Communicates shortages to Team Leaders and Supervisors.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule and Pay: - 1st shift, 3:20pm-11:40pm Mon-Fri (OT as needed)
- $23.35/HR
Checker Qualifications: - Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
- In-depth knowledge of the ERP system.
- Strong understanding of the overall product flow within the operation.
- Extensive knowledge of individual parts and warehouse locations.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work regular schedules set forth by the Management team.
- Must be a strong team player.
