Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)


Pay Rate: $50/hour
Role Overview:
The SLPA assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech andlanguage services. Responsibilities include clinical, educational,documentation, and treatment-related activities while working within the scopeof responsibilities and plan of care assigned by the Speech LanguagePathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree OR bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders
• Successful completion of at least 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical equivalent (as required by state and/or contract)
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state of practice
• Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
• One (1) year of prior professional SLPA experience (preferred)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
